OSBERT • CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Osbert is a first generation Latino American of Colombian descent who grew up in New York City Housing Projects and has unique first hand knowledge of the distinct challenges faced by marginalized persons and communities historically and disproportionately targeted and affected by drug enforcement. Osbert has 10+ years of entrepreneurial experience with a focus on federal and state government contracting, to date he has led successful business operations in 15 states and Puerto Rico. Osbert had a distinguished career in public service, where he served as a Group Supervisor, a federal agent and a task force officer. His experience focused on counter terrorism and intelligence, he also served as the co-chair of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security advisory group for the reconstruction of Ground Zero in New York City. Osbert served as a Platoon Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom and is a Disabled Veteran.
He serves on the Board of Trustees for Caldwell University (NJ), and is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB and of the Inner City Capital Connections program.
GARY, CPA • CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Gary has over 30 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. He is extremely versed in the area of cannabis taxation, particularly with IRC 280E. Gary is an expert in the areas of Tax Strategy, Auditing, Business Planning, Financial Analysis, Mergers and Acquisitions, Account Management and Business Development.
GLENN, ESQ. • CHIEF COUNSEL
Glenn is a recognized Super Lawyer and has over 30 years of legal experience. His areas of expertise include both Federal and State litigation. Glenn is an expert in the areas of executive leadership, technical writing, internal controls and the development of corrective action plans. He has also been recognized as pro bono attorney of the year in New York.
CECILIA • DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL MEDIA OPERATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT
During her time at Columbia University, Cecilia served as the Lead Product Designer and Product Manager for Columbia Daily Spectator, and its publications The Eye, and Spectrum. She is an experienced graphic designer and has designed for small businesses, professional musicians, school districts and nonprofit organizations. Cecilia is responsible for all of The Cannabis Place’s branding including logo design, website development, and social media outreach.
Cecilia will also be utilizing her experience in Civil Engineering and Construction Management to further our operations and community impact at The Cannabis Place. She has worked on public and private projects in New York City in construction management roles at facilities including JFK Airport, The Studio Museum in Harlem, The Dalton School and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
